We decided to dine at the Saket outlet of the chain on 29th October, 2014. Our woes began right at the door, after reserving a table for 15 people, there was no record of our reservation in the register at the door. Our second attempt and raising of voices intimidated the'waiter' at the door(yes there was a waiter at the door) to go and check with his Captain. He returned and we were promptly whisked away to our table.

We decided to order beer and were informed that the only beer available was Amstel. The menu listed about 8 different kinds of beer but all we could get was Amstel. We were given no clear answer when we asked why no other beer could be served, there simply wasn't any.

We ordered starters and they began to arrive, while the waiters were nice enough to serve the starters, they completely missed serving some of us and repeatedly had to be reminded who was a vegetarian and who was a not.(This could be challenging but to put things in perspective, there were 2 vegetarians.)

One of the children was falling asleep and we asked for a'naan' to be served at the earliest. The'naan' never came, (or so we thought) we later discovered that it was placed at one end of the table, where one of our guests mistook it as part of the main course and dug in. As a result, our guest later told us that she thought there wasn't going to be any main course.

Finally we had the captain serving us(after numerous waiter gaffs), the food fell short as the waiters failed to take any initiative to inform us regarding the servings. By the end we were so fed up that we finished and decided to leave. To try and make the dining experience better, the management did decide to give us the dessert on the house, however by then our evening had been ruined. Phirni with excessive condensed milk, is hardly my idea of a dessert.

The food continues to be good, probably due to the fact that they remain true to the original recipes when the Kalras were in charge. The service however, is worse than a roadside dhaba where you need to chase a chotu for rotis.
