No Second thoughts in terms of avoiding this book. Review on Second Thoughts - Shobha De

Today I am going to review a book which I finished reading last week. I have to admit that this is my first book after a long time. Shoba de is no doubt a very talented writer and I have admired her previous work but in this work she has performed below expectation. My suggestion for this book is to avoid if you are not a fan of Shoba De. In this book Shoba De have ignited a spark in the reader in the beginning that something good is coming very soon but the wait is painfully long and readers are left with no such great thing as promised in her writing at the start of the book. This is the biggest turn off for me. The story of husband who is a protagonist is portrayed very well but she has left other characters defenseless. According to me there was no need to explain the difference of the people living in differnt states of India like for example people of Kolkata and Bombay. I think that Maya's father and mother's role can be portrayed way better than what was presented in the book. A lot of extra fillers are used in the story only to leave the reader thinking why is he added in the story.

A novel of Shoba De can't be complete unless she add some sex story in it and as expected it was there but I have to wait a bit to long for that to come by that time I was half bored reading it. So I casually avoid it. Overall Shobe De is way more talented then what she has presented in this book.
