I am a photographer who is always on the go.I use this hard drive everyday, transferring pics from my desktop PC to and from my MacBook pro, as well as to store the majority of all my pics. I have had no issues with it so far. I partitioned it to be able to interact with both Apple and PC operating systems and it works brilliantly.
The only thing I don't like, so far, is the Seagate "dashboard" software which opens on my desktop automatically when I start my computer. The dashboard is about syncing up your other personal devices(e.g. smartphone, etc.) to the drive so you can back up your phone movies, etc. I'm not interested in that, so I would rather the dashboard stay off, unless I want to use it.
I would definitely recommend it to anybody wanting to keep their computer's hard drive free and need portability. It doesn't replace a large desktop external hard drive, but it is a wonderful.and for mobile individuals.a necessary addition.
