I bought segate hardist one month back The HDD is simply great, too small and light.we have to format it with NTFS and allocation unit size should be maximum at 64kilobytes then we will get max read and write speed.to do this just right click on the drive in windows(xp or higher) click on format option, then select 64KB as the allocation unit size.
I am getting write speed about 30MBPS in USB 2.0.I dont have 1 USB 3.0.
connecting cable is a bit weird design to support both USB 2 and USB 3.any micro USB to full USB cable will work.a USB 3 cable is given which works with USB 2 also.
it serves the purpose but the biggest drawback is that body of this cheap plastic, we have to carefully handle it if it fall it'll surely break also the usb cable is not good every time I plug in the usb cable to the hdd some time it is not connect.
