Around 70 MegaBytes per second write speed without any fluctuations if you have no other RAM hungry program running in the background, on the usb 3.0, windows 7 and with intel i5 processor having 4 gigabytes of RAM, are you kidding me? An extraordinary backup device at this price point and you will get the convenience of Seagate as well, because that comes in handy always. The read speed is about 110 MegaBytes per second, worth mentioning it. So if you are trying to get some backups, go for it for sure.
