Rs. 1700.00 per person which is supposed to include Transportation, Uphill and Down transfer by link coach, Rs. 300/- Shigra Darshan (Quick) Ticket, Accommodation for Fresh up, Prasadam (2 Laddu) & Guide charges.
At no point of time either on phone or later, they mentioned that Darshan time may take more than 5-6 hours during weekend although their Guide is well aware of this. Bus was delayed by about half hour at the pickup point but we reached on time. After we had freshened up, we were asked to board another bus (link coach) by the Guide. In this bus, the Guide started refunding Rs. 300 which is the darshan ticket charge to all passengers stating that the temple does not allow him to buy group tickets anymore during weekends and we need to arrange it ourselves ! Although we protested, he was adamant, told us to take up the issue with Bangalore office who did not communicate in advance to us and he was just a guide who gets paid 500 form them.ince we had no other choice, we took this refund of darshan ticket sand stood in queue for 8.5 hours to buy this ticket and have the darshan and then again stood in queue for laddu. We were totally exhausted & felt cheated as it was horribly crowded with no food & phone to contact anyone and Guide was not be seen anywhere ! The giude did not take us to Alamelu temple which was included in the package.
This was the first time I under went so much of problem in Tirupati Package trip. Please check the package details properly before booking. It should include tickets & laddu which will be taken care by them and not the passengers. The guide should take care of local bus for up and down the hill. Please do not tbook or take any packages of ITDC. They are very bad packages. You will only be wasting your money, time and patience.
