Just want to share my recent experience with Seabird Tourist.
I had booked a ticket for travel from Bangalore to Pune on 8th Aug. My boarding point was at Marathalli and the boarding time was 6:45 pm. This was a pickup bus which was supposed to drop me at Anand Rao circle from where the actual bus was to depart. I got a call at 4:54 pm from Seabird tourist saying that the pickup from Marathalli has been pre-poned to 5:15 pm instead of 6:45 pm. When I told them that I would not be able to reach Marathalli in so less time as I was really far from my house at that time and even my bags were not ready, they told that they cannot do anything and if I want to board the pickup bus then I will have to reach Marathalli by 5:15 anyhow. Then I called the bus operator a couple of times more to ask if they can put me in some other pickup bus which is going to Anand Rao circle, but they ruled this out and asked me to come to Anand Rao circle by myself before 8:15 pm as the bus would be leaving by 8:30 pm sharp.
The main reason I had selected this particular operator was that the pickup was at Marathalli which is very near to where I stay, and did not wanted to go as far as Majestic, which is some 20 kms from my place and auto would have taken at least Rs 350 to 400. At last I had to make some other arrangements and go.
After the journey was over, when I called the bus operator to ask for refund for fare, they flatly refused saying that we cannot refund the money as they have informed me(haah. at the eleventh minute) and also given the option to catch the bus from Anand Rao circle.
I had booked the ticket through redbus, but even they failed to get the refund saying that they are just mediator and if the bus operator has refused to give refund then they can't do anything.
Do not want anybody else to go through what I did, and that is the reason sharing this review so that they think twice before they deal with Seabird tourist.
