After having read' The Glass Palace', was really looking forward to read this one but was in for a disappointment, the book started off very vaguely but I stuck to it thinking it will catch up sooner or later, but it turned out to be more later than sooner, it has a very loose narrative and storyline, started off with many characters whose life and storyline were not build up enough to hold interest for long.
In the later stages when the real action began, it was still better and as I said later it did manage to hold interest for a while, it was more to do with reaching then end and to know what actually happened to the poppy seeds.
Overall a book I could have done reading without which didn't leave any lasting impression to carry forward.
