We had been to Gokarna in last week of October. We had booked our whole trip in sea bird.
The worst point is THE DRIVER AND CONDUCTOR ARE NOT BOTHERED WHETHER ALL IT'S PASSENGERS ARE IN THE BUS OR NOT. NOT EVEN WHEN THEY STOP IN SOME PLACE FOR DINNER. THEY JUST START OFF AND GO. THEY DO NOT EVEN PROVIDE A TIME LINE, BUT LATER THEY CLAIM THAT THEY HAD STOPPED FOR SO MUCH TIME BLA BLA BLA.
From the first itself we started facing lot of trouble. We had called up to sea bird customer care and they told us to wait opposite to New Shanti Sagar in Koramanagala. We were waiting there with all baggages before 15 mins of the given time. The bus went from there, but the driver did not bother to stop also. We tried shouting and running behind the bus, but bus did not stop. We called up to sea bird immediately and got one auto to follow the bus and after sometime we were able to catch the bus. The suspension was good, so journey was little hectic. They have lights for each seat, which never works.
It stops at one place for unloading the stuff or an hour and finally they make sure you reach at least 2 hours late than the expected time of arrival.
During the return journey, the place for boarding is mentioned as bus stop. We reached the bus stop at 6:30, and at the same time the bus left to another place and again we had follow it and catch it. Finally we boarded in it.
Now comes the same story, they started loading stuff at one place and wasted 1 hr there. We didn't have an option but to live with it.
NOW COMES THE WORST EXPERIENCE WE HAD. AROUND 11PM, THEY STOPPED AT ONE PLACE FOR DINNER, WHERE YOU CAN GET ONLY MEALS AND SMALL HOTELS WERE THERE. WE WENT FOR DINNER AND WE WERE HAVING IT, WE WERE ABOUT TO COMPLETE IT IN 15 MINS TIME AND WHAT WE ARE SEEING, THE BUS HAS STARTED MOVING.I RAN BEHIND IT, THEY DID NOT BOTHER TO STOP. FEW PEOPLE WERE IN A CAR AND SEEING US THEY FELT PITY AND ASKED US TO JOIN THEM AND THEY FOLLOWED THE BUS TO MAKE SURE WE GET IT. A BUNCH OF THANKS TO THOSE GUYS. WE GOT INTO THE BUS AND SCOLDED THE CONDUCTOR. HE IS NOT EVEN READY TO ACCEPT HIS FAULT. HE IS SAYING HE WAS GOING TO CHECK THAT TIME AFTER THE BUS HAD LEFT. HE IS SAYING HE WAS CALLING UP ANOTHER SEA BIRD TO GET US. HE IS SAYING HE CANT STOP FOR MORE THAN 15 MINS FOR DINNER. I FEEL LIKE SLAPPING THE BLUDDY FELLOW AND I WANT TO SUE HIM. IT WAS SUCH A HORRIBLE EXP.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE NEVER TRAVEL IN SEA BIRD.
Imagine yourself in the midnight with your wife in a place where just few shops are there, all over dark, hills and nothing else. And your left you there and went. such an horrible experience it was.where to stay . wat to do. so helpless we were:(
