Story:

Amish is one of the great author of the India. He has written many famous book in India. His most famous book series are Shiva Triology and Ram Chandra series. Ram - Scion of Ikshvaku is the first book of Ram Chandra series. Every book he wrote is known nationwide.

Ram - Scion Of Ikshvaku is a book basically based on the life of Shree Ram. Amish explained a very new perspective of how things in Ramayana may have happened. The story starts with birth of Shree Ram and then continues with his childhood life. During his birth time, his father went on to war with Kuber and Raavana. It was the first war in which he faced defeat for the very first time in his lifetime. So, father of Ram, King Dashrath blames Shree for his defeat that he brought the curse to him. Ram lived nearly half his life facing blames for his father's first ever defeat.

Amish beautifully explained how Shree Ram and his three younger brothers namely - Bharat, Lakshman and Shatrughan learn lifeskills and other teachings from their Guru Vashishta.

The story continues with marriage of Ram with Sita in Swayamvar. When Ram and Lakshman along with Vishwamitra were in Mithila for some meetings, Vishwamitra asked Ram to participate in Swayamvar. In Swayamwar, Raavan was also present. In Swayamwar, Raavan gets angry and tells Janak that he will attack on them. During the battle, Ram uses Asurastra, which is prohibited by Lord Shiva. As use of Asurastra is prohibited, Ram thinks he did a sin by using Asurastra and is ready to pay for this. He was ready to live in exile for 14 years.

He with his wife Sita and brother Laskhman go for exiles for 14 years, where they meet Shurpanakha and Vibhishan. After some consequences, Lakshman cut the nose of Shurpanakha. Shurpanakha tells this story to her elder brother Raavan and told him to take revenge. Raavan decides to kidnap Sita by playing some mind games.

Amish narrated the story in very well manner. We get a new perspective how Ramayana should have happened. Amish is very clever persons he deepa very down in the Ocean of thoughts and brings out gems out of it.

I would suggest everyone to read this book. You will surely love this book.

Thank you.
