Try to scare me!. Review on Scary Movie 3

INTRODUCTION

Why am I writing this review after midnight? Because I may lose my ideas tomorrow. Actually, after watching all the three parts of the Scary Movie series, I found that the third one was better as it is not as much as vulgar and explicit (they calls them teen jokes - Some teens may run away after seeing them) as the first two parts even if this one too, just as the other two has a series of ridiculous jokes inside it. I am sure that the first two annoyed me more than ''Ek Choti Si Love Stoty'' and ''Tum'' which makes me think what a great one Scary Movie 3 is.

Still there are some good jokes in it and the best thing is that some people may not understand the ridiculous things in it and they can manage to avoid them. I liked this one only because I found the other two extremely annoying and I have not seen much of the comedy movies in English. Then I decided to write my third review on English movies after Resident Evil and Van Helsing.

THE MOVIE

The movie has some ''teen jokes'' which made me ''edit'' and ''censor'' the movie by myself before showing it to some one else who hates these type of things. Believe me, if I tried to do the same with the first two Scar Movies, I would have had nothing to show them. Thats why this one is different. The movies makes fun out of ''Signs'', ''The Sixth Sense'', ''The Matrix'', ''The Ring'' and ''8 Miles''. It even seems to make fun of Michael Jackson.

The alien scene is funny and so is the news typing by Cindy and his boss. The scenes which created most laughs among my friends were when Sayaman put the car in first gear instead of reverse gear and the fight between Brenda and the ghost.

The movie, I think is too much funny to be a hit. Atleast there has to be something serious, atleast they have to take death as a serious matter - can't they do that? This is seen the worse in the first Scary Movie. Thats why I hate that!

THE PLOT

The lady of the first two series, Cindy Campbell (Anna Faris) is back with different hair colour, and she is a reporter highly interested in her career, especially the supernatural things which makes her interested in the crop circles in the farmer Tom Lagan's (Charlie Sheen) field.

Brenda (Regina Hall) teaches Cindy's nephew, Cody (Drew Mikuska) as well as Tom's daughter, Sue (Jianna Ballard). While Tom is concentrating on farming, his brother George (Simon Rex) is trying to make a name for himself by rapping, with the help of his friend Mahalik (Anthony Andersen) who 24 hours says that I got your back. They are all afraid of a possible alien invasion. At the same time there is an evil video tape which is circulating in the city and killing all people who watches it in seven days, after a phone call.

The reason for all this is a girl named Tabitha (Marny Eng) who is thrown into the well by her mother. The evil video tape is of this girl which kills anyone who watches it.

Even the aliens manage to watch the video tape. It's time the monsters make a video in CD so that I can see it in my own computer. The plot has not much connection, but does a comedy movie need any good plot to make others laugh? It surely needs it to make a good movie.

PERFORMANCE

I really liked Anna Faris in the movie. She looked quite funny and her expressions when the other news reporter said he wasn't listening and during the rap battle were really good. She looks better when her hair is not black. A new hairstyle is not bad. The sound of her dialogue is really good too.

The ghost of this movie was not bad, I have to say that it was the scariest of the villains of the series. Jenny McCathy and Pamela Anderson have not much to do, but they really over-did their roles. Charlie Sheen as Tom was not bad and he seems to have the capacity to do serious comedy! Simon Rex is not very bad, but seems rather a joker even if I liked him in some parts of the movie.

The two kids as Cody and Sue did act well and they seems to be the future of Scary Movie series (Not really). Denise Richards, amazingly doesn't have much to in the movie expect for a very small scene. Actually I took the movie so that I could see her too. Leslie Nielsen did annoy me at times as the president. There are too much of small characters that I can't explain. So I will stop saying that all were funny and half of them were annoying.

CONCLUSION

Even if I am recommending the movie here, don't think about seeing it. You will find it better if you are bored by the first two parts. Atleast this one is not that much of annoying explicit like the other two and I had been able to see it without any problem with my cousins.

I did get a copy of the movie for myself so that I will have something to cheer about from the Rs 55 which I spent in total for the three movies. You will find it better than some ridiculous jokes you see in some movies and channels. Better see it than go for anything worse than this as I guarantee laughing for sure.
