Hotel sayaji (kalaghoda restaurant) in baroda If you are planning to visit baroda then do visit hotel sayaji buffet dinner at kalaghoda restaurant on 7th floor at this hotel.
This is my favourite hotel as far as non-veg food is concerned at economical rate looking to the present rates of raw non-veg food and that too prepared in most western style.
It is on the 7th floor so you can have a lovely view of baroda city while seating in the restaurant. its hospitality and service is excellent. in all they keep 56 items on the table which includes:
Welcome drink,
Soup (veg / non-veg)
Veg starter (3)
Non veg starter includes one chicken item, one mutton item and delicious boneless fish (according to me it is an extra ordinary preparation which is not possible to prepare at home)
If you are not able to eat tandoori roti then you demand roti of any type they will not say no, if you desire to go for wheat tava roti then they will within no time serve you. i like their hospitality and quick service very much.
3 starter each (veg / non-veg), buffet – 3 veg subji prepared in different style – for non-vegetarian – chicken masala, mutton masala (daily they change these preparation)
Mutton / chicken biryani (oh. that is also delicious)
There are 10 types of salads & papad
and now come to desert section – three types of sweet items which includes pudding (it is just like pastry)
lastly, they will ask you which type of ice cream would you like to have.
still it is not enough they will serve you delicious pan.
rates are for lunch / dinner rs.250/- per person.
now you will definitely ask me how it is economical? yes, you are right.
if you visit between 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. then you will get 25% discount. which means this buffet dinner will cost you rs.188/- only.
i am a regular visitor of sayaji since its establishment. if i am not wrong then it is established 20 years before in baroda. at that time its rate of rs.45/- (same items).
after eating there for 20 years i am writing this review.
