First the Ugly-BCCI
Saurav Ganguly has opened a chest full of ugly Bats by making stupid statement to the Press after his tortoise effort in Zembabwe. In the process, he has lost his gaurav of being the Leader of team India. It is shear ignominy, immaturity, imbalance and insanity on his part to make matters internal, public which has gone on to occupy every Headline of every Media which is really shame for Indian Cricket.
The questions to be asked now
Why did Ganguly make this remark to the Media internal matters concerning the team that too concerned with him to the outside world?
Why did he wait for scoring a Century in turtular fashion against minnows and not before that?
Would he have raised the issue if he was bowled for a low score?
Why is he avoiding practice sessions and physical fitness regime?
Is he the King and not Prince anymore or is he the Superman of Cricket?
How many insiders he has in BCCI apart from Dalmiya and Bengal Cricket association because the e mail supposed to be a confidential report from Greg is being leaked out to make Hero of him in Home land and drive Chappell out of India?
Why is he behaving like a kid, lamenting, crying and sulking being Captain of a team?
Trying to get answers to all these I made a comment that Ganguly is not in good mental state to lead the side in one of my comments a week back on Amit’s (the final verdict) nice review. Now the physical state has also come into picture
So what is ugly about it?
Yes the BCCI has shown its ugly face to Indian Cricket by fighting politics when turmoil is going on in the team which needs attention.
Is the BCCI “Bureaucracy & Corruption of Cricket in India” or ''Board for Compounding Cricket Injustice”
Has the BCCI purposefully leaked the matter intended to it to garner public sympathy for Dalmiya’s child Ganguly?
The Bad-Media
The Media has simply blown the matter out of proportions which is supposed to be confidential, internal and a rightful analysis of the situation from a Coach and made headlines on all television channels and Newspapers to worsen the plot and raise their popularity ratings.
Does this news require Headlines importance?
Do all these media know what exactly the content of the e mail is to comment on this matter?
Does this require asking the man on roadside and general poll from public whether Ganguly needs to be sacked?
It is a shame to hear one reporter comment on a leading news channel like NDTV that Chappell should be sent back and Ganguly retained when asked about his opinion in 30 sec time frame. Sidhu rightly balanced the situation by giving a perfect assessment.
The Bad Media has caused more harm to Indian Cricket than good by worsening the situation and causing further turmoil in the team.
The Good-Great Gregie
The man considered a purist of the Game, the most stylish to watch in his batting days, a very successful Captain and great thinker of the Game is here in India to help build our Cricket team and it is a tragedy to make him scapegoat.
What is wrong of a Coach sending a confidential e mail to the Board on matters concerning recent tour and Team India?
Has he made any single averse statement on the matters till date except handling questions gregariously?
Has he not justified in asking for strict physical regime from everyone no matter how big he is in Indian team?
Is he not entitled to correct the pitfalls of Indian team to make it the best Team as a coach?
Is he not equally responsible as the team in its success and suggesting the best possible eleven to make a winning combination?
Is there any matters concerned with all these publicly discussed by Greg till date to any media or public?
The answers to all these made me think that He is not good, but a Great Professional who knows exactly what is his job, but also what he has to speak.
It will be a pity if a pit is dug for him as it looks and we will miss his great services for the sake of whims and fancies of some stupid so called Cricket Kings and Courtesans.
