Theatres - Easy Targets. Review on Satyam Cineplexes - Janak Place - Delhi

The bomb blasts in Delhi's Liberty and Satyam Cinema halls have so far, acc to news channels, taken 6 lives and injured over 40! Had the security checks been carried out strictly this could have been avoided. why do our theatres easily forget tragedies. (dont they remember uphaar tragedy?) one of the eyewitnesses on the channel said that security checks a person only till the waist which means if they are carrying anything in their trousers, socks or shoes it goes undetected! he also said that more than the blast it is the panic which caused stampede that was responsible for injuries.

Now for the speculated reason behind the tragedy. whoever has done it could not have chosen a better day, it seems. the move also seems to be an intelligent one since today was the UPA govt's first anniversary bash. So one can think this is a political game and that rival parties might have carried it out. But then there's another story too. Both theatres were screening the much controversial film jo bole so nihaal. (someone pls write a review. was it such a movie that hurt sikh sentiments? I donno.) So one might think that protesters might have done this gruesome act. What's the truth will unfold within hours.

But whoever is responsible, this could have been avoided. I blame only the theatres for this carelessness. one needs to really check out whether their emergency exit system is in place or defunct besides improving security checks. as if natural disasters werent enough, look at this! so sick! killing people coz of carelessness. there's no concern for a common man's life at all. theatres are just one of the few places where one gets to unwind. and now even that's such a soft target. thanks to the fools managing it.
