The comedy king. Review on Satish Shah

Wow, I can't believe that I am the first person to actually write about Mr. Satish Shah. Just pronouncing his name should bring on a smile to your face and if it doesn't then you have surely missed out some of the fantastic comedy shows on Indian TV. I know he has acted in many films too(DDLJ etc.) but for this review I am considering his TV performances because IMHO thats how he actually became a legend.

Would not write a wikipedia-ish review about his talent and contribution, because his performance should be watched and enjoyed.

So if you have watched old DD serials, The first thing that should come to your mind is "30 years ka experience hai" - a line immortalized by him in the timeless classic "Yeh jo hai zindagi" where he played several hilarious characters. He then went on and paired with another legend Ratna Pathak Shah for one of the funniest bollywood spoof show "Filmi Chakkar" on Zee TV. And then another classic "Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai" on Star where he played the naughty and mischievous Indravardhan Sarabhai.  The shows have long ended but with youtube and other online media continue to drive views to these shows even today which reflects their popularity.

Wishing him a hale and hearty life and also that he continues to entertain us. Also eagerly waiting for the revival of his old shows or to see him in another funny avatar.
