Karthik (Arya), a successful professional, tries to woo a paediatrician Sandhya (Trisha) who ignores his advances as much as she can. The tricks Karthik tries are plain annoying.
His constant in the face trying to win her over will give any girl creepers-jeepers and astoundingly she agrees eventually does not make any logical sense and the movie falls flat then and there itself.
Parallely, a mentally disturbed individual, Easwar, played by J.D. Chakravarthy, stalks and relentlessly pursues Naushad (Indrajeeth) and Iman (Rohan)- as retribution for his son and wife's death at the hands of Naushad in a car accident. The supposed logic is Naushad shall lose his son to make him feel how Easwar is feeling. Way over the line.
How Sandhya dies, and how her heart is transplanted to Naushad's son and Karthik's ambition to save the boy because his lover's heart beats in the boy forms the crux of the story. The background behind the story line is a straight lift from "Reservation Road" which is extremely well made starring Jennifer Connolly and Joaquim Pheonix.
Unbelievably, the performance of Arya was very disappointing and JD Chakravarthy, with his lack of real emotions in the face, barely passes off muster. Trisha with her cute and energetic frame, is totally wasted. Some of the songs have fantastic backgrounds, Siragugal is the best among the lost. Other songs are okay but not earth shattering.
