Saroj Mohan Institute or the SMIT is an engineering college stated at Guptipara in the dist. Hooghly of the state West Bengal. It is a branch of the Techno India Group which has the biggest chain of technical colleges around the state. I am a present student of this college from the Electrical Engineering department final year.
The college offers streams like EE, ME, CSE, IT and others. The teaching staffs are good enough. But as you know you don't have all your fingers alike, so exceptions are here too. The placement stuff is around 60% . Opportunities for the CSE, ECE and IT departments are far more than the core streams, so build your own choice for that.
