There are no Rights and Wrongs. Only Power. Review on Sarkar

RGV is one of the most successful or may be,most respected,director of the modern Indian Cinema.He showed the new face and that charming intelligence and ''class'' to the Indian cinema audience with 'Satya' and then with 'Company'.He was, no doubt,bumped cruelly by Indian audience when he tried to experiment the flavor he is not expert at - 'Naach'.Now he is back - He is back with the subject and flavor for which he has a huge fan-following and this time its 'Sarkar'.Let us see how much successful he has been this time with new script(inspired by GODFATHER as RGV says in opening lines).

The Story :

'SARKAR' is a story of a man 'Subash Nagre 'who says 'There are no Rights and Wrongs. Only Power' ,who doesnot believe in GOD,politics,government or anyone else.He believe in helping the poor people and use all means,legal or illegal,to help them and as a result,entire Mumbai or most of Mumbai, pray him like a GOD or GODFATHER, I may say.

Because of his loyalty to poor people,he faces an opposition from a gang which really cannot do illegal money collection due to him and these lilke-minded people plan the murder of this Sarkar.

The younger son of sarkar,Shankar Nagre,has the same thought process as his father and elder son,Vishnu Nagre,thinks it differently.The movie is all about how Subash Nagre and Shankar Nagre deals with the great politics associated to end their sarkar and how they tackle it with Shankar taking his father's role as Sarkar in the end.

The Movie :

'Sarkar' is overall a very good and intelligent movie from RGV.THe movie has a very strong script,almost perfect direction,very good performances from almost all the actors.The first half of the movie is not as engrossing as the second half and there are definitely few editing and pace glitches in the first half.We dont find audience very concentrated in the movie in the first half when similar looking politicians are doing almost same kind of discussion with Sarkar.But gradually movie gains the momentum and everyone is completely lost into the world of 'Sarkar'.With an interesting story,general twists,direction and acting that you see,you really have to think whether we have seen any other Indian movie as good as this one.Overall,RGV has given a movie definitely upto(or may be more) magnamous expectations that his fans have from him.The .I might not agree with RGV on that this is his best film ever.My personal favourite RGV movie is still SATYA but then that is a personal preferences.One more thing where movie lacked is the love stories.Katrina Kaif was unimpressive and Tanisha was okay but we didnot like these love dialogues or scenes,though they were very few, in the movie between them as they didnt match the class of the movie.

ACTORS :

Mind you,ABHISHEK BACHCHAN,has become a super star.This is his best performance ever.The way he is growing as an actor,it is sure that like this movie he will take his father's seat as GODFATHER of Indian cinema in future.The best thing I liked about the movie is Abhishek Bachchan - the perfect combination of emotion,body language and everything else that a best actor have.

BIGB : Everyone know how great BigB an actor is.It was a challenging role for him and he did great acting for his role in the movie.Somewhere,i felt in the movie that

BIGB is a gr8 actor and we have seen many times in different roles.So,we are used to his body language and his predictable face expressions.So,nowhere I felt that I am seeing a GODFATHER - a man for the first time - which I wanted to.I personally feel If this role would have given to someone whom we have never seen in Cinema before or rarely seen,the SARKAR would have left a bigger impact - but may be it is tough to find such new great actors who can successfully play such roles.

KK was good.katrina was below average.Tanisha was above average .Supriya Pathak was good .Rest of the crew was also good.

Overall,I recommend this movie highly to you.If u like RGV movies,u surely will appreciate this one.This is an intelligent movie and will do good business in Multiplexes audience.
