Sarkaar isn't an exceptional movie, it actually is a well made movie which somehow disappoints me the way it completes itself.

OK after 68 of previous reviews the plot would be a small nut and not nutshell, Subhash Nagre (Big B) is a pseudo politician who helps the people with no authorized powers in fact he is the system when The System fails, he has 2 sons, Vishnu (KK) is a film producer basically and Shankar (Abhishek) is the younger one who is just back from USA learning what is Sarkaar

Well the concept was well laid out for me that Sarkaar is a SOCH and Subhash Nagre is just a person behind that thought, I would imagine a Sarkaar would be someone like with loads of armed men all around and that’s what we get so the first hindrance is all cleared, then we need towering personality exemplifying the thought of Sarkaar, so we have Amitabh and nothing better in my supposition can come close to that, Before getting further a distinction needs to be made that Sarkaar is no Godfather, No Underworld drama rather it’s a distinctive manner to present a thought and its counterview, so Sarkaar is a thought and its opponents who wants to get rid of him are the counterviews, The Inspiration is just for the way approach builds up and way the Godfather character was, rest all ends there after all we are watching a Hindi Movie so I cannot review it if I bring in the other issues other than THE movie.

It’s a treat to see how the First half builds up, Amitabh to be honest has almost neared his best but then almost because just of one scene I felt he needed to be given 4/5 rather then 5/5, Sarkaar is a super human thought, you don’t get Sarkaars in every street, in a scene wherein he is informed about Vishnu being hidden at his enemies place, Amitabh emotes in a very run of the mill ways that we have seen in the movies like Bagbaan, Waqt etc, for me that was a moment wherein I got not what I wanted, the same scene could have been bettered with not crying but super depressed expression, that would have made Amitabh and Sarkaar elusive.

The Rest of cast comprising of Tit bits fromRuksaar (KK’s Wife), Tanisha, Katrina and Supriya Pathakwas commendable and got to the potential of the roles with the limits set. Now KK is a highlight of the first half and to be honest he was the best and an able counterview of Sarkaar, his aggressive manner and portrayal seeks attention, well the need of such character is to prove yourself absolutely right (no matter you are at the wrong side), as usual a Liar is loud and hence KK plays a loud character convincingly, that’s why ahead in the story people started clapping when he gets killed, that’s because KK has convinced that yes you are bad (5/5).

To be honest it’s Abhishek’s movie from 2nd half, he is good if not spectacular, he is good because he portrays the education on him (he is a USA return remember), so his revenge also has a bit of gracefulness in it and that’s what I liked , there was no melodramatic revenge sequences like Kutte mere baap ko maarne ki koshish ki, ab to mar kamine. So he went about it in a cool manner, He isn’t spectacular why because I think its high time when he does something on his appearance, I don’t like a sky walker with a hunch back, it feels as if he is not letting his personality to do the talking. (3.5/5). I laud the Counterviews of the movie, they are sinister and bad as bad can get, Though I watched ’D’ before this so I didn’t like the repetitive characters but as I said Sarkaar is a different movie altogether.

But it still Disappoints me as a complete movie, Well there are many reasons for that first of all it’s the character of Vishraam Bhagat(dunno played by whome), its clearly identified that he works for the CM and also Sarkaar knows about his enmity with him, so since Subhash Nagre has been portrayed as a character who is proactive and insightful of persons then why on earth its not realized till the end when Abhishek identifies the plans, A clear case of incomplete wisdom in Sarkaar.

Virtually no Amitabh in 2nd Half, Well I know many would disagree but for me Sarkaar was needed here in as well and I felt that even before the film gets ended that Abhishek has already became Sarkaar, Also why Sarkaar’s reaction to Vishnu’s killing the actor of his film was subtle then expected, First we are shown that he can react heavily on Vishnu on dinner table but then when Vishnu murders someone innocent and Sarkaar is too much into mute mannerisms, That goes against the primary foundation of the thought i.e. Sarkaar going out of the way to innocence.

If 1st half was built up well 2nd half to be honest was hurried, As I told before that when there are Counterviews to a thought then they are no small players and they too have there own strengths, The way the opponents of Sarkaar were eradicated it looked like peanuts to me, then why on earth Sarkaar succumbed to them almost and many a times it looked like Agneepath wherein Amitabh kills his enemies and drops the bullets one by one only difference this time remaining that it was Abhishek.

The BG score was average frankly, Govinda chants were overused, I mean its alright to heighten the adrenaline when Abhishek seeks revenge but its useless when he is running and escaping and the ending, it was a perfect ending but somehow it gave a underlying message that Sarkaar i.e. Subhash Nagre’s days are over and it was seemingly a known fact that Shankar had to take over.

To sum up RGV’s direction, Like the usage of Phone ringing and people talking that it typical RGV, well it was pretty good and seemingly back to form after a torrid NAACH where in he couldn’t get the concept implemented which was a noble idea though, here he had both ends well edged i.e. of the Good i.e. the Bachchan’s and the Bad i.e. the sinister enemies of Sarkaar including KK. Screenplay is very good in the first half as more time is taken but second half its good only because the things are hurried and paced as a thriller. For the overall technicalities I feel it’s a High Quality Factory Product.

A typical critic would slam it as a revenge movie in the 2nd half but overall Sarkaar is a Good movie for me.

Cticize’s Quote::”Not a Classic or a Exceptional film, It’s a well made film and should be seen but as a student of cinema I feel it missed somewhere, all in all another gem for Amitabh and a sprinter for AB Jr. ”

Hmm Mujhe jo sahi lagta hai, Wohi Review mein likha hai, Baaki Galat chizo ke liye Kamini ka review dekhe
