I had huge expectations from this film. But after sitting for 10 minutes in the movie, I realized that I had made a big mistake. To be very frank, I dont like serials. Not the fact that serials extend to be very very long but also that the way they are depicted. The sound and the visual effects put me off. I cant stand the sound effects of serials.
And believe me, sarkar raj had the same sound effects. It seems that Ramu ji is now watching a lot of serials. And thinks that the serial - sound effects are in.
The pace of the movie was exactly the pace of the serial. Slow and slower. In fact during the first half, I felt as if nothing has happened. The movie is 2 hours long, but if it would have been made with the right pace, I dont think it would go beyond 45 minutes - a short film.
I think something has happened to RGV. First AAG and then this Sarkar Raj. After hits like satya, company and sarkar and a lot more, these movies are turning out to be terrible. Has RGV ran out of ideas?
Throughout the movie, Abhishek would not have spoken more than 10 words. Ash's role is unclear. Amitabh is just a watcher throughout the movie. He acts in the last 15 minutes in the movie.
I felt that the most interesting character is the contract killer - whose gloved hands were shown. There was a lot more of "Govinda. Govinda." than in the original movie.
Overall avoid this movie. And hope that sarkar - III(if made) is much better.
