It Started somewhere in the early 1960's, when I was not born also. and guess that was the time when people of this city started to know or get used to the word Pav Bhaji. Since then it's no looking back. The who's Who have visited the place and still visiting the place. Only Problem they do not serve outside and one has to be seated inside. tables can be cramped at times but that's mumbai for you. I can't call it delicious, have done some better ones as well but YES, he has maintained the standard and consistency.
Just stick to Basics .
The Normal AMUL PAV BHAJI
THE AMUL KHADA PAV BHAJI and
MASALA BREAD
the art of making is the same
the masala and the spices may be a bit different BUT the amount of Butter which he put's in each plate is to watch for! You may get a taste but it can backfire as well. Sometimes it can go for a toss.
I prefer having the Khada Pav Bhaji over the Normal as the butter is less and the masala pav which is done perfect, spicy and full of flavors.
