The movie is spellbounding since starting as it is based on one of the most talked about star of Bollywood.
All the characters were well suited for their role and gave a heart warming performance. Ranbeer playing Sanjay Dutt did justice to his role by acting the same way Dutt used to do. The walk, talk and persona in the movie can be seen clearly. The way he got out of the drugs and dealt it for so long were depicted really well.
The role of his friend played by Vicky Kaushal was outstanding as well and somewhere more than the one by Ranbeer in certain scenes. Like the one scene where he confronts Paresh Rawal ( playing as Sunil Dutt) about his son’s drug condition was very well picturised.
Rajkumar Hirani is the best director for this movie as he has known Sanjay Dutt for a long time and the last scene where he comes out of the jail is a true copy of how exactly it happened in real.
Music was good but not much of songs in the movie.
The plot was very well written and direction was superb. It showed us a complete different angle of what actually happened.
