Sangam One of the earliest thetres is currently picking up in trade.
Currently ranked only next to Sathyam cineplex, Mayajaal.
So wats new with this,
Well nothing new but its good to see that its not outdated also. The Cineplex has three theatres (Economy theatres) - Sangam (ground and 1st floor), Padman (1st floor), Roopam (2nd floor). Only sangam possesses a 70 mm screen - good sound effects, ample seating space and clear movie projective. You have a good feeling of seeing a movie if they turn on the A/c also (hope so). Architecture - Sangam is similar to the Sathyam theatre.
Padmam - Roopam I don't prefer watching movies here. Instead I can do it in my home theatre, poor sound, broken chairs, and small screen (thats worst).
However if u reside in kilpauk area this theatre is good compared to Abirami. Sangam usually release the good movies. Occasionally they release movies like Sukran, Kovil also. Compare the hit ratios of sangam and abirami its more for sangam for the past 2 years. Well lets not worry about it.
Promises from Sangam -
1) They are promising to renovate the existing theatres into Elite (70 RS), economic (RS 50), Normal (RS 25) categories. If its done its good. Never mind that they are copying sathyam. What we need is good thatre
2) Two new highly luxurious theatres (similar to sree in sathyam) are coming up here (Promising to be of great feel, with no overlookings, Construction progress in 2nd and 3rd floors.). These new thatre will feature dts- THX sound quality.

Last but not the least toilets are maintained well.
