SANCHO'S is a boon for South ex part 2 people. So less options were there a few months ago. In fact Daitchi was the only place where you could enjoy a decent meal at a decent price. My sis recommended me to this newly opened mexican restaurant, so the foodie me immediately went there.
We went on a very hot June sunday afternoon to grab the mexican buffet (price 750 with taxes, unlimited food, unlimited juices and unlimited beer..). the deadline was there, of course. 4 pm. so I looked at my watch and said to myself, .. ok, so I now have 3 and half hours to fill and refill my stomach. it was love at first sight.. right from the elevator that took us up to the smiling receptionist who greeted us, to the ponytailed waiter who showed us to the table, to the makkan jaisa chikna guy who helped us serve food, to the mexican hat which I wore after 2 glasses of beer, to Sancho-the chef who greeted us with something mexican... Oh... everything was good. Of course, after you have had 2 glasses to beer-- everything looks good!!
The food : this place is good for people who can eat a lot.. and who can eat a huge variety of meat. Not recommended if you are vegetarian, or if u like to eat just chicken. The buffet consisted of 2 varieties of rice ( I took the one with corn in it..), 2 varieties of pork, 1 variety of beef, 1 variety of chicken, 2 varieties of vegetables, 2 varieties of salad, and loads of tortillas and other stuffs unpronouncable. of course everything was cooked in proper mexican style where they boil stuffs and put it in some paste that contains loads of tomatoes. Not recommended for those who likes to lick the gravy from their hands. Foods are pretty bland, tasty.. and so very mexican. There were, of course, beer and 3 varieties of mocktails and juices, 3 varieties of cakes and dessert.
I enjoyed the food, the music ( made me feel like doing the mexican dance.. not that I knew it), the ambience.
I would say.. 750 is good.. especially if you want to pamper your taste buds with something different. Its good for people who love to experiment with different style of foods once in 2 months. The table mats had the mexican - english dictionary of ingredients used in different foods.
Good place if you want to get mex'ed up once in a while.
