Sanam re is so predictable and done to death that it becomes a yawn fest in the first half itself. It takes off with a party song featurung the director herself. Later we are introduced to string of unnecessary characters like akash's stupud boss who cracks repetitive jokes which are not even funny. Interestingly, akash's character has enough money to own a sedan and travel to and fro from canada but none for this rent. The script is written so amateurishly that akash's phone has his boss' name as' boss' on it. What world is this
His daddu on the other hand is seen giving life lessons on love. If he had taught him to be professional and competent enough akash would not have to woo a lady to get his contract. That's what happens when impressional minds are served with fairytales.
There are so many loopholes in this story that I would have to sit with a checklist. Like tell me one person who had to decide his futurein one hour. Akash's uncle does some'jugaad' and gets him admission in a city college but he hs to take the decision of taking the opportunity in an hour. What short of a'jugaad' is that?
Urvashi rautela's character is the stupudest, she is divocee who falls in love with guy who is trying to use her for her business and is in love with someone else . colud'nt they have shown her to be powerful .
Who now iwn her ex-husband's business? Please stop showing why a woman's no goals if there is no man with her.
There is a big twist in second half and honestly, you will see it if you can actually sit through till then.
And if you do sit through it, you would want to leave after the big secret is out.
Pulkit samrat does an average job in the movie.
I don't blame him when the script itself is so weak, there is tittle you can do about it.
Yami gautam has recently has singned for a solo role opposite hrithik roshan and he better pull up her socks are her performance in sanam re is weak
Urvashi rautela does not really have roll in film where she needs to act. She is like a showpiece in this film and is seen flaunting her assets in most scenes.
Rishi kapoor does a little bit of over-acting in his special appearance as daadu.
To be very honest about music, direction I was nt expecting much from sanam re considering it comes from the same director as'yaariyaan' it is s prity taht such scripts get such huge production costs while non-commercialfilms with solid material have to beg for financial backing.divya khosla kumar tries hard to present sanam re as an intense romantic drama but it turns out to be a tense drama fot the audience. The location of leh, himachal and canada make up for a grat reviewing but the story doesn't. The first half itself is cringeworthy and it is tough not to fall asleep. Probably the inclusion of song every now and then its to wake up those who have dozed off. The music of sanam re has been appreciated by quite few and that's probably a saviour for them.
Even through the movie rum time is around 2 hours, feels like we are sitting there forever watching indecisive peopke chase other across in the name of love.
