After giving away my NOKIA 2300 to my sis which served me for a good2 & a1/2 years.I firstly decide I was going to buy a flip fone, something which was a change from the regular bar-phone.I had few priorities:hassle free,basic but pleasing and value for money.So I did a lotta research and zeroed in on the X200,Nokia 6060 and a SE flip whose name I dont remember.
Then I zeroed in on the x200 cos it was the cheapest at Rs.5000/-.I could've got a better loaded bar-phone but flips I knew were in the same price range.It was a good phone ,the display was absolutely BRILLIANT and so was the interface,neatly laid out.But the bulid quality was pathetic! the hinge connecting the keypad to the dispaly was loose.And the phones connection was bad seriously,i dropped a lot of calls and even kept my hand wawy from the antenna.One good thing was the battery life,which lasted 2 days or 1and a 1/2 days after taking calls and mesaging frequently.
Overall I was happy with the phone,it looked great!and had great finish with comfortable buttons and all.It caught many's attention also remarking how nice it looked.
Then after FOUR MONTHS THE CELLPHONE STOPPED WORKING,it didnt switch on and off and there was a weird noise and everything was gone.
HERE I SHOULD WARN EVERYONE THINKING OF BUYING THE PHONE TO BEWARE OF SAMSUNGS AFTER SALES SERVICE!
Warranty be damned!they didnt tell me anything for 1 month and then I was told that it was in the shop since then only when I got rough did they tell me that it would be sent to the service center.
I WAS TOLD THAT WATER WAS GONE INSIDE AND IT HAD BEEN DROPPED AND REPAIR WOULD COST 3000 RUPEES!!!!!!!
Iknew it was all wrong as I had not dropped the phone even once yes a little roughed up while traveling in the bus and there was no chance of water at all!!but they didn't listen,how am I to know if whatever the problem was didnt get worse while being in the bloody storeroom for a month?
The compay was totally uncooperative in this matter and I have swore never to even buy a samsung monitor now!and advice you all to go for nokia 6060 which had equally good display and is more trustworthy.
I then sold the phone off for 1200 suffering a loss of 3800.I have vowedNEVER to try samsung again.If you want a flip go for motoflip.
