I Bought a 7000 series Samsung 55 inch 3D LED TV for about 1.90 lakhs two months ago. I have a dedicated home theater. The picture quality is brilliant when we watch day light scenes or bright light programs. Watch a night scene(like in Star Wars or Avatar) and you will be shocked to note bright patches on the screen scattered all over.
Complained to Samsung and they were good enough to replace the entire display panel. That did not help and the problem still haunts the TV.
If you are in the market for a Samsung LED(no matter what series) here is how you test it.
1.Ensure that the room is completely dark
2.Switch on the TV(no need to play any programs)
3.Wait for at least 45 minutes and look for bright spots on the screen.
4.Make sure the showroom does not dim the back light to cover up this Alarming Mess!
SAMSUNG WAKE UP! You in big trouble here.
