I am a kind of guy who changes mobiles very often.normally I go for in the range of 5k to 15k.so has xperienced a lot of them till now but thought that Samsung Star is the most deserving one to write for.
I will sum it up:
*Pros:
*1. Very fast interface.
Excellent touch screen.
Beautiful and trendy( Especially with the leather cover back panel which in included in the sales package)
High Resolution large display.
Nice camera.the best part is the meagre time lag btw pressing the key nd picture getting clicked which reduces chances of a blurred image. Unlike the slow nokia n series in which dere is a time lag of atleast 3-4 secs while clicking pics.(pathetic).
6.Widget feature - the same is available in the filthy expensive nokia n 97 for wich dey r boasting so much about.
7.Direct access to Facebook, Google, Picasa, Youtube nd many more social networking sites nd that too at a great speed(thru GPRS)(I am sure 3G will be even better)
Google maps nd GPS application is nice too.
Great battery - you can go without charging for two full days even if u talk for couple of hours every day. The best I ve experieced till now.
10.Supports both, normal and qwerty keypad for texting. trust me you will never need a stylus for this mobile.
Cons:
FM reception not that strong.
I faced a little problem of loosing sound when I was on roaming. It was not there at the same place and same time with my nokia N95.
Sound quality of media files is not that good with ear phones provided with the sales package. though audio attachment cable is easily available in grey market for 40 bucks which supports 3.5mm jack nd give excellent sound with earphones meant for I pods. though not that loud but fairly loud for nomal listening.
Conclusion:
You get much more for your money through this mobile. A must haves. Can beat any mobile even in the range of 10k to 15k. **GO FOR IT.
