Let me tell you what this phone is, or rather was. This phone was launched by Samsung prior to the SGH R220, it looks just like the R220 but with a difference......It has a flap covering the keypad. So in the age when the Nokia 5110's were ruling, this phone was considered to be todays Nokia 7710. The phone is so damn stylish and sexy.....that when you want to recieve an incoming call, you can flick open the phone with your index finger and thereby impressing the chicks who are standing next to you.

And remember once again, in the age of the Nokia 5110's....the chick would be more often than not....suitably impressed. But looks apart, the phone had adequate features. Didnt have a lot going for it. One of the features I really missed was that of Editing the Sms and forwarding it. If I got an sms which was like ''blah blah blah....Happy Diwali, Sheetal''......i couldnt edit the Sheetal and put my name there instead. I had to forcibly forward it as the original message or not forward it at all. That was a deterrant....a big one. One another feature I missed was Movie Ringtones. Not that the Nokia 5110 had that facility. But the Nokia 3310's and 3315's which came later on...did have that facility. But then Samsung came out with a new improved model of the 200 called the 220 which had incorporated the art of having new ringtones....but which unfortuantely still didnt have the facility of editing a sms.

Boy I cant even remember the countless number of times i've cursed Samsung because of that. But all in all....i love my phone. And with its cool blue backlight and wow-so-sexy-flap even today, it packs a hell of a punch. Definitely a buy...if you planning to buy a cheap second hand phone. But a word of caution, check the battery.

Samsung batteries are notorious for failing. Overall....a lovely phone. I love it...and still have it...though I dont use it any longer. Now I use a Nokia 6220 and a 6230.
