I purchased this cell on August 20 , 08 from Ghaziabad after a great survey of all sleek sophosticated models in the market in the range 10, 000 - 15, 000. I read a lot of reviews about SGH E 840 thereby developing mixed feelings for the phone but could not find review giving me total info about the cell and allowing me to take a final decision so I thought of writing a review of my own that can help all you people showing common interest of buying this marvellous piece. SGH E 840 also referred to as the Metal Series , is a beautiful handset with looks that are uncomparable with any other mobile in market as of now.

Even in samsung mobiles of similar type , slider ones , this one gives a different statement. When u take this cell in ur hands, u dont feel like letting it off ur hands. So light , the touch type keys give u easability of operations with no effort by ur fingers in operating the same.Beautigul user interface and excellent features. Volume is also good enough but it cannot serve pyrpose of a music phone. Volume thru handsfree is pretty good. Camera is 2 MP without flash but with autoadjust putting default brightening of the dark background serving as good as a flash.

Battery backup is also good enough but requires daily charging of around 1.5 hours depending on the use. But be careful of scratches on the screen as this is total glassy cell on the front side and do the screen protection with the E 840 front shield for approx 150 Rs. only . It's actually the slimmest cell in the world . I am very satisfied with the new cell but who can say about the future. But so far the cell is really an asset to own and I really recommend this cell to all. I purchased for 8600 Rs.
