I bought the C100 during april 2004... it's been two months now and here's what I think of it so far. For the price range... I don't think any phone would come close on so many features.. I mean youre getting IR, 65,000 color screen, Polyphonic ringtones, sleek and slim design and more. That's why I had bought the phone. But now after two months of use, I've come to know what the phone lacks and I'm not too happy with it.... :(

First of all you can't add words to the T9 dictionary. Bad luck I can't add my girlfriends name to it...neither can I send swear words to anyone. It's quite irritating to switch between modes while typing an sms and my previous phone having been a nokia, I'm really dissapointed.

Another thing is that you cannot send via IR. only recieve. I tried it out with my friends palm and the IR doesn't seem to be working...

And my biggest crib is the battery life.... the fancy six color LED and all the cool animations come at a price as I have learnt on countless occassions. Even after switching them off... I hardly get two days. This is quite an inconvineince as I am not at home most of the time and I cant carry the charger around all the time.

Also no MMS. If MMS is the next great revelation...then too bad for me. Also you cannot transfer java applications and ringtones through a data cable. Only if you subscribe to a GPRS service or if you have a IR port on your comp.

Another thing is the resale value...samsung products hardly have any resale value. I paid Rs.6,600 /- for this phone when I bought it. I tried to sell it but even with the warranty, original accesories and box, I still got only Rs.3,500/- from the best offer. Anyhow, I am now stuck with this phone I don't like and don't know what to do with it.

Sure if youre looking for an entry level color phone with bundled features at this price and dont mind the poor battery life ( as with all samsung products ) go ahead and buy it. But if youre a frequent sms-er and if you travel a lot or if you change phones frequently....I wouldn't recommend it.
