Think twice before you buy this handset. Review on Samsung SCH M569

I had a nokia 6275 cdma phone purchased more than 2 years back. Recently I had some LCD related issues and started searching for a new phone and finalised this product samsung sch m569. I travel a lot and use a bluetooth headset connected to phone.

There comes the catch with this phone i.e. the one way pairing. I will try to explain what the problem is. Once the phone is connected to the bluetooth headset, the bluetooth headset receives the call without any issues. But suppose you dial a number from the phone, you hear a ping in your headset and then nothing.

So, you go to the "Options" menu and then choose "Transfer the call to the bluetooth" This has to be done everytime you dial a number. NOW THIS IS WOULD SAY IS COMPLETE STUPIDITY. Nothing is mentioned about this feature in the manual supplied by Samsung.

I went to the Samsung Service centre to get rid of this option. They tried for sometime and then called up some higher ups who reported the limitation of the one way pairing with this model. In short I want to warn everybody who are reading this review , TO THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU PURCHASE THIS MODEL.

Another limitation with this model lacks is "voice activated dialing".The nokia phone 6275 cdma which I possessed earlier had no such issues even though I was launched somewhere in 2006. The only limitation was the number of contacts that the phone could store (500). The bluetooth pairing was never a problem. It also had voice activated dialing feature.

Another annoying feature I noticed that even though the ear piece volume is kept low, the incoming voice can be heard outside i.e. a person sitting next to you can make out what you are talking.

so SAMSUNG before you boost of "WHAT NEXT" in your TV Commercials and pay huge sums of money to brand ambassadors, you should invest money in improving your existing products and look around what others competitor suppliers are providing in the market.
