I had visited a cell phone dealer to view some of the newer Nokia mobiles within a price range of Rs.5000/-. Somehow I was not quite satisfied with the products available within this range. Then I moved to the next counter dealing with Samsung phones. The S3600 metro series appealed to me because of the looks. I checked out the internet but only found a few reviews. This phone was not featured on Samsung site either. I inquired with 4 different dealers regarding the price and managed to purchase it at Rs.4950/- in Feb, 2010.
This phone can store 300 messages. It is rugged, sleek to handle and quite stylish. It is available only in Titanium Silver colour. Audio quality for conversation is good. A month later I purchased a data card(2gb @ Rs.400) as I wanted to store more songs and video clippings. The audio quality of the speaker phone is satisfactory. The screen size too is good.
Single hand operation is a little difficult. Like, while riding and the phone rings, you cannot easily open it to see the caller's name. In a way it ensures safety and I am forced to move to the side of the road and then pick the phone.
