Good but not great. Review on Samsung S3310

I have been using this phone from October 2009. Best in class display and camera quality and very low radiation. Good music quality. Speaker loudness is just average, but headphones provide great bass and volume. Battery back up of the phone is very good. The charge will last for 2-5 days depending on how much we use the phone. Files received through bluetooth gets saved in phone memory. It has to be moved to memory card manually. This problem has been rectified in the latest models.

Phone can access wallpaper, ringtones etc from phone memory only. Pictures, music etc in memory card when set as wallpaper or ringtone, will get moved to phone memory automatically. The phone does not support graphical emoticons. It also wont support screen savers and picture messages. Pictures cannot be viewed full screen. Zoom not available in 1600x1200 resolution of camera. Only preset graphic equalizers are available.

No additional themes can be installed in the phone, but we can create themes in phone itself. Battery cover provides great feel, but its hard to remove it. Voice recordings can be stored only in phone memory.

No portrait mode for the camera and camcoder. Shortcuts can be assigned for the 4 navigation keys. Music and camera functions can be operated through the keypad keys. Speed of operating system is just average, neither fast nor slow. There are no incidences of phone hanging up because I always keep 20MB of the phone memory and 50% of memory card free.

I would recommend this phone to those who like to hear excellent quality music, watch videos in high quality and large screen, snap excellent quality photos and videos and does not bother about the minor issues this phone is having. Since this phone is available at a very economic price with all those excellent multimedia features, those minor issues can be easily forgotten.
