I recently have bought a Samsung N150 note book. The specs are excellent.
With a N 450 processor you get a 512 cache memory which is excellent for personal use. They notebook has an inbuilt system recovery which is a boon.
Very low energy consumption with battery life up to 7 hours and minimal heating, it is better than 3 branded laptops that I have used earlier.
