I had purchased television set of Samsung from Vijay Sales Paud Road on Date= 29-08-2011.
The models was the latest series-5 LED 40" with chasis number = 20013zeb801362 and ecode-a157. However this television generated a manufacturing defect. The television set was showing a black stripe completely across the screen occupying half height. This happend in May-2012 itself(within 6 months) and when raised to the Vijay sales they helped me satisfactorily to get the service done. Samsung India the manufacturer of the television replaced the complete set for me.
The newly replaced television set is again now showing the same problem. When raised through vijay sales to the service department of Samsung, the engineer attended the call and informed that there is problem with the panel and the complete panel needs to be replaced and gave an estimate of Rs. 24, 000/- and informed that I shall need bear the expenses as it now out of warranty from the original sale date.
The recurring problem is causing great discomfort and this time me almost paying the 50% of the cost of the equipment is not acceptable and the concern should be addressed by Samsung by accepting the fact that the problem is recurring within 6 six month for any given television set.
I hope the correct authorities take care of this.
