I bought Samsung LED TV 40D5000PRMXL on 20 Aug 2011. Exactly 02 days after the expiry of warranty, black band appeared on top of LED screen. On contacting customer care, they informed that it is out of warranty and all repairs will be charged.
On the engineers visit, he recommended to change the screen which costed over 20, 000 Rs. I changed the screen on payment on 11 Oct 12 and I was told that it will not carry any warranty. Again exactly after one year the black band has appeared again. On calling up customer care I was told the same story of charges again. I know the screen is required to be changed again.
Samsung is making business out of it, they are earning money on we innocent Indian customers. There product is not lasting even one year. My sincere advice is not to buy Samsung TV unless you want to spend 20000Rs every year to change the screen. You can also search on internet and find out number of complaints of this nature. There are plenty of these complaints still Samsung is doing nothing to correct his design defect. They need to be shunned.
Please don't buy Samsung products.
