We had bought an lcd samsung tv (LA22A450C1LXL) in Oct 2008 for around Rs. 16000 , and within one and half years the television set is not working. The tv screen has gone blank. We lodged complaints with the customer service department and received a bad service response. They suggested we replace the pcb worth 5000, which seems wrong for a television set that is not even one and a half year old. The last we had Onida CRT screen television set that lasted 20 odd years. I guess the new age television sets are not comparable.
Basically Samsung is selling bad products and charging us service charge to repair the defective piece that sold to us in the first place. I would not suggest anyone to go for Samsung LCD sets.
