Samsung galaxy tab 4 is an upgraded version of tab 3.It is having a quad core processor and runs on android kitkat with 1.5 GB ram
BOX PACK(INSIDE BOX)- the 7 inch tab, user manual, data cableand charger. there are no earphones in it.
DESIGN AND DISPLAY- The back of the tab is made up of plastic with leather finishing.it look great and gives a very good grip.silver outline along edges in front side made it more attractive. but iit donot have gorilla glass so one take care of screen.
Tab also supports voice calling, it has as single sim slot. It supports 3G.
MEMORY- Tab has 8GB internal storage and is exapandable upto 32GB.free ram on first boot is 760mb .
Tab 4 is using marvell PX1088 QUAD CORE cortex A7 soc . performance is smooth, it supports multi tuch upto 5 fingers
Tab 4 can play full hd resolution videos smoothly, it has primary camera of 1.3MP and rear camera of 3.2MP resolution.The rear camera can also shoot videos in 720 pixel resolution at 30fps.
Others-
The tab sound(loudspeaker) is a bit low, but it’s clear. In call sound is good enough. There is 3G, Wi-Fi with hotspot / Wi-Fi direct, Bluetooth(smart ready), APT X CSR that gives CD type quality via Bluetooth and GPS with GLONASS. No issues found with any of these features.
There are Motion controls for smart alert, palm motion and also the smart stay option wherein the screen stays on as long as you are looking at it. Popup videos are also supported, you can watch videos while working with / or checking other apps.
4000 mAh battery-
The Galaxy Tab 4 SM-T231 comes with 4000 mAh non-removable battery. I used it for 25 minutes, battery dropped by 8%. I played the high end games for 15 minutes battery dropped by 6%. I then played a 720p video in a loop for about 28 minutes battery dropped by 5%.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 SM-T231 is no doubt a better option than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 SM-T211. The Tab 4 is more powerful, comes loaded with more RAM and runs KitKat out of the box. There is built in phone functionality with 3G support.
There is limited storage space and when it comes to gaming the tab 4 can play many high end games but in lower resolution. For the price and the brand value this is a option
