I mostly use my tablet for reading newspapers, searching the web and checking email. I occasionally play games such as Mahjong or Candy Crush. I previously owned a 7" and an 8.9" Kindle Fire. I find the Samsung 8" to be a perfect size for my purposes. The Samsung Tab is much faster than either of the Kindles. Plus it has a rear facing camera. It also has access to many more apps from the Google Store. The WiFi works perfectly and maintains good signal strength throught my home. I've had it for about three months and it's never frozen up on me.
The only frustrating issue I have is that I can't view flash video. But that's a problem with all Android devices at the moment, so I won't take anything away from my rating for that. All-in-all I'm more than happy with the 8" Samsung Note tablet. The biggest downside is the tiny 16GB of built in storage, 2 gigs of which is reserved for system files.A 64GB micro sd card helps with this but still, would like to see companies stop taking the cheap route with internal storage. Overall I am very happy with it, both of my other tablets were sold shortly after receiving my Tab 3. The 8 inch size seems to be just about the perfect size. Works faster then the Tab 2 and more stable then the acer. I would like to see larger internal storage and a bigger battery. Wouldn't mind support for NTFS file system, the fat32 has become limiting for some of my HD videos.
