Dear Friends and Prospective Buyers,


Please take out some time to go through the entire review/ comment that I am going to elaborate here. First of all, I am one of few others people who probably lost their senses while ordering this product. And I say this with pain, anger and a feeling of being cheated and left to wander by one of the so called big player in Electronic Industry. First Shocker: I got the shipment from flipkart.com. Neatly packed, delivered with great customer satisfaction. I opened the box. What did I find? One fine label which reads “ONLY INDIAN SIM”. This was nowhere mentioned in the device specifications that I went through when I was purchasing. Had I known this, I would never have purchased a device. Later, I found that we can use this device, provided we first insert Indian operator provided SIM and then use it for five minutes to unlock the network to use it throughout the world. Fair Enough! I did that for more than five minutes. Then I sent it to my brother in Dubai as a gift. I wanted to surprise him, which eventually turned out to be very traumatic because the phone simply did not work with the Dubai SIM. It was pretty traumatic, not only for him, but for all of us since he had no phone now, as I made him get rid of his old phone because of the one I gifted him. No way to be in touch with him, he also missed out his office calls. Now coming back to my next stage of torture by SAMSUNG.


Second Shocker: My brother got in touch with the Samsung help centre via online chat. The agent advised one of the costliest solution. It was to make international roaming call for more than 5 min to India via his Indian sim. It did cost me another Rs.2000. We did that hoping that it would eventually close that matter. Never happened. I wasted my 3000 rupees in total.


Third Shocker: I kept calling the Samsung agents in India. All of the calls were recorded by me so that they do not mess around with me. First call: Agent says, he can’t help. Get phone back to India. I asked him to arrange for the pickup and drop of the courier. He replied that it can’t be possible. And I did say him that for a mistake of Samsung, I will not pay. He then back tracked and said that the phone should only be used in India. I said him that, it is clearly written on your box, that the phone can be used in any part of the world, given that it should be first unlocked via India operator sim which I already did and used it for a day. I then said him that you as a Samsung employee and that too in customer care have absolute zero knowledge about or you are trying to fool me around. Either ways, I told him that I have this call getting recorded and whatever you say will come back to you if it is a lie. Then I could see a sudden change of tone. He then promised me to arrange a call back from his senior for which I had to wait for another 24 hours and give a reminder call, only to see that the entire discussion had to go again. I did not at all agree with his solution of sending the phone back to India. It did not make sense, and I told him that if you bought a car from NISSAN which is made in Japan, would you go to Japan for getting the issue fixed or expect them to bear the cost and bring out a solution. Again, I said the so called illiterate senior executive that you are not closing my ticket, I have the phone recording and I will definitely take this up. Again, change of tone. Yet NO SOLUTION. AGAIN A FALSE PROMISE OF A SENIOR calling me to close the issue which never happened till date which is already 7 days after I first made the call.


I then reached out to the CEO desk of Samsung. Dropped an email. Told them the story again and again. None of the 1st level, or her senior had the resolution of the issue. They again promised to arrange a call from another senior. NO CALL TILL DATE.


My goodness, such a big company, such cheap tactics.


IT WAS MY SHEER BADLUCK TO GO FOR SAMSUNG BY PAYING EXTRA 9000(PHONE COST Rs. 18,900)FOR THE SAME FEATURES THAT WERE THERE IN LENOVO AND ASUS. WISH I TOOK THEM, TOO LATE TO DO IT. EXTREMELY PAINFUL THAT THE EXTRA MONEY I SPEND FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TOTALLY WASTE. IN FACT ANOTHER 3000 JUST GOT ADDED TO MY PHONE COST, YET THIS COMPANY DO NOT CARE FOR THEIR LOYAL CUSTOMERS. WITHOUT A MISTAKE OF MINE, FOLLOWING THE PROCEDURE LISTED, AND NO FAULT OF MINE, I AM FACING THIS ISSUE.


I HOPE THAT FROM MY EXPERIENCE, OTHERS CAN BENEFIT. PLEASE DO NOT EVER GO FOR SAMSUNG.
