Thanks for making my previous Review, 'Review of the day' on mouthshut. I am not a professional writer, so getting such recognition was a very big thing. The x6 was the best phone in its class when I wrote that review.
Now we move on, and now I have my hands on the latest sensation. SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE.
I bought this phone a month ago for a price of around 33000. and what a ride it has been ever since. Yes! it is slightly bigger than the usual phones. but why should we crib. if u remember the days when mobiles were just introduced. they were as big, maybe even bigger and thicker, as some of the phones we have now. so I would not complain much. at 5+ inches, this phone fits in all my trouser pockets without any problems and at 178gms it really very light on the pocket.
the phone has excellent looks. as a layman, I will not go into the technical details cos that is not what we look in a review right? I would talk about the things that me as a buyer would like to know. really. what do u do when u take the phone from ur friend to check it out?
do u go into the settings and see the hardware details of the phone OR do u see.
Camera: the note comes with an 8 mp camera with flash. and trust you me. it takes some amazing pics. I have used this phone to 2 tours(both to Gujarat) and use it for my running club meets and day to day clicks. and trust me. the clarity and features of the camera are FANTASTIC. the panorama pics are awesome.
Function: this device supports all the features and applications that the Android Markey has to offer. I have so many functions on my phone now that sometimes it is difficult to locate a particular app. I play games on this device and the big screen makes it a different application alltogether.
Battery: Yes the Galaxy S2 was a super flop on battery life(max 5 hours). BUT. with 2600 maph battery. the Note works an entire day(the max I have done is leave my house at 5am and spend the whole morning clicking pics in Matheran and come back home at around 9pm to find the phone still having some life). so all those guys complaining about the android phone batteries. RELAX!
Features: ever since a phone which has a button on the stylus. yeah. this phone has a freaking button on the stylus and its just not there for SHOW. it actually has a lot of use. for one. u can now get a screenshot of any screen. ANY SCREEN. all u have to do is keep the button pressed and tap the screen. the stylus is also used to edit the pics and the edits go beyond ones imagination. I now actually write hand written msgs and send it people on whatsapp and other chatting interfaces. I gave my bald friend some hair. turned a rockstar into a bindi wearing bald gal and a whole lot of other things. it is FUN I tell you.
Size: YES! the phone is slightly bigger than the usual androids but. it makes it much easier to view webpages and also to type. the fingers glide on the screen with great ease. I travel a lot in the trains and bus and play games while I am travelling. people stare and ogle. its fun.
What else? cant think of anything. Yeah the battery does not take too much time to charge.
Overall. FOLKS. it is a big phone BUT. its better to have one BIG phone rather than keeping a Diary, a calculator, a psp, a small mobile phone, a planner and a laptop. Samjhe kya?
so if have the desire to buy the complete package. You got it. THE SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE.
