Samsung recently launched the note 7 with great pump and show. But its nothing but just the Galaxy S7 edge with an S-pen and a few minor tweaks.
Build&design: The phone has glass on back and the front is covered by Gorilla Glass 5. The phone feels premium in the hand. The weight distribution and in-hand feel are excellent. The biggest gribe that I have with the build is that, it is a fingerprint magnet and is very slipery. So if you get this phone, dont ever forget to get a good case coz one time screen replacement will cost u around 30k.
Display: The device sports a 2k Amoled display, which I have to say is the best in the market. The viewing angles, contrast ratio, saturation everything is very vivid and punchy.
Battery life: The phone has an avg. battery backup. You can get a SOT of about 4 hrs with a typical day usage. It can last u for a full working day but then again most of the modern day mid rangers beat it in battery life.
Performance: The performance of this device I have to say is dissapointing. Even the last year Apple's iPhone 6s beats it in performance. In gaming, it will definately perform well. But when u are spending 60k on a phone, you wish to have something blazingly fast. The memory management is worst in its class and I dont have to think to say that. Even the Redmi Note 3 GB ram variant will beat it in memory management.
Camera: The camera is the same as S7 & S7 Edge, and no doubt they are one of the best available right now in the market.
Speaker: The speaker volume is a bit low to my liking, I feel that's coz of the water proofing.
Call quality was crystal clear.
Updates: Since Samsung is a fairly big brand, and Note 7 being their flagship, no need to worry abt updates.
Another feature that Samsung added this year is the Iris scanner which I have to say is not that gr8. It's too slow and most of the time, I found myself to be using the fingerprint scanner.
Price and competition: The note 7 is priced in India at 60k and that I feel is a big bummer. Moreover, Samsung has started thinking that it has become Apple. The device will be available from 2nd September. BUt Samsung has forgot that Apple is also launching its new iphone on 16th Sept. and seeing the craze and value of Apple in India, I dont think Note 7 will be able to do good in India this time.
Bottom line: Go for it if only u need that spen badly, otherwise dont waste your money and look for something else.
