I was looking for Phablet and bought Samusung Note 3 Neo from Samsung showroom dealers at Chennai. I bought this mobile for its design and display. Within 3 days I found the hand set is over heating and the heat is so much that one cannot attend the call without hands free. It's battery life is also bad and it last only for approximately 12 hours. Kindly note, I am an average user.
Initially I thought this could be because of software, then contacted Samsung service center. Shockingly, they informed me that the software is up to date and clearly told me that the heat is as expected, since it has high end hardware. I have demonstrated the heating issue to them and they agreed that one cannot speak with this heat and told me that this is how it will heat because of high end configuration. Then I made complaint with Samsung, they inspected and informed me that the handset is in good condition and it is asper Samsung's policy. They also told me that the heating is as expected, since it is high end model. So Samsung itself is confirmed that the Note 3 Neo will over heat and it is expected. When I asked for test report details and Samsung's reference data related to heating and battery issues, till now they didn't come back to me. I have send dozens of mails, no reply from them. Now I am thinking of moving to consumer forum. Samsung's complaint No: 8465222869.
It is worst model and the feedback from Samsung service center and customer care itself confirms it. Please think thrice before buying this model.
