The Samsung J series is arguably the best selling series for the company in India. This series covers a large market as it stretches from Rs 5000 all the way upto Rs 25000. The J2 Ace is priced under Rs 10, 000 in India and represents Samsung in the lower end of the market.The J2 Ace sports a 5-inch display with a resolution of 960x540 pixels. The resolution is lower than other smartphones in the same price range offer higher resolution display ( 1280x720pixels) . The pixel density on the J2 Ace is220PPI. The display does not have a layer of protection on the top and users will need to be careful with their phones and put a glass protector on. The J2 Ace is powered by a 1.4GHz Quad-Core processor and has 1.5GB of RAM. It isn’t the most powerful phone in the segment as phones like the Redmi 3s offer more powerful hardware.The J2 Ace sports an 8-megapixel camera at the back and is on par with theother offerings in the market. The camera has autofocus and gets an LED flash which helps in low-light conditions. The camera is capable of 720p video recording and has tons of shooting modes to choose from. The front of the phone has a 5-megapixel camera along with a selfie flash.In terms of software, the phone runs on Android Marshmallow with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top. The phone has quite a few customizations that are made only for India, like the S-Bike mode, S-Power Planning mode and the S-Secure mode. These are software bits by Samsung thatenhance the user experience on the J2 Ace. The phone comes with 8GB of internal storage out of which only 3.2GB is available to the user. There is a MicroSD card slot that can be used to further expand storage to 256GB.The J2 Ace is a Dual SIM phone with support for 4G as well as VoLTE. The phone also supports older 3G and 2G bands. For connectivity, it has the MicroUSB port along with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The battery on the phone is rated at 2600mAh and should last a day with moderate to heavy use.
