As far as the cameras are concerned, the samsung galaxy j2(2016) packs a 8 megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 5 megapixel front shooted for selfies.

It is a Budget Good quality phone Only problem is that this device is not Knox enabled and not having Theme store But you can choose 3 pre-instaled themes except default touchwiz themes . it does not support samsung official music app but uses google play music . The good thing is that it is not having the annoying flip board briefing pane on the left side of the screen, the galaxy essential widget and the quick connect on notification panel .
The super AMOLED display on the galaxy j2 was the best thing about the device and that continues to be the case with the j2 2016 . The screen resolution has shot upto 720p from qHD, but since the display is bigger by 0.3 inches, the increased resolution does not really make for a sharper viewing experince but other than that the display is pretty good . Deep blacks, high contrast and wid viewing angles are all part of the package as benefits a super Amoled display . Brightness levels are good with an outdoor screen mode for increased legibility under harsh light conditions .
With Smart Glow, Samsung wants users to have a cool way of being notified, but right off the bat the idea falls flat as Smart Glow is on the back of the phone .Samsung says college kids like keeping their phones upsidedown while sitting aroung with friends so that they can keep the phone from disturbing them . The problem is most folks buying the j2 are unlikely to be college kids - those kollege kids are probably hip enough to have opted for better smart phones from chinese manufacturers like Xiaomi.
The rear camera cant capture enough detail no matter what time of the day u take your photos however it does keep daylight photos mostly noise free ang good loking as long as you do not zoom in . Photos look pretty drab in overcast conditions and indoors, aproblem that most os Samsungs Budgets smart phones suffer from. Focusing can also be when the lighting is not good:naturally low light performance at night times is nothing to write home about .
As was the case with the original j2 the front camera on the j2(2016) offers better performance despite having a lower resolution sensor .There is a level of detail almost similar to what the rear camera offers .It not a lot but unless you zoom in selfies look pretty good overall as long asthere is sufficient light around. There is a gesture for qiuck selfie capture - just hold out your palm in front of the camera for a few second s and the phone will take a timed photo .
VERDICT-
WHILE it does have few positives witha good display front camera and battery life, the galaxy j2(2016) compromises on too many essentials . The extreme dated internals, 8GB of internal Storage, he all plastic build and the lack of an ambient light sensor make it a very subpar offering from samsung .

It exploded in popularity due to low price and good specs but I heard from some other people that after a few months of use it becomes slow, and the display goes all of a sudden. This is a grat phone for gaming and photograpy.The selfies are brilliant on this phone and the back camera is also great. This is an amazing between low and middle range phone .
