First thing I would like to tell that I didn;t buy this phone and I thank my almighty for that and also feel sorry for those who bought this crap.
Two months ago the MD of my company decided that He will be giving 5 of the senior executives a good android phone where we can use both CDMA and GSM. As all 5 of us carrying 2 phones all the time ( 1 cdma 1 GSM) and sometimes It is not comfortable.MD himself was carrying 3 phones round the clock. He decided about android as google applications will help us in our office works specially staying in touch with clients via mails.
After 2 days he bought 6 samsung galaxy ace duos including 1 for himself.We were very excited to get our new phones and also happy that from now on we don't have to carry two phones.That was only happy moment for us with this phone.
Problem started after 3 days.This phone hangs a lot for no reason.Most of the users must have faced it.Sometimes it hangs during important calls with clients or touch screen wont respond to accept call for which many clients felt that we were not giving importance to them.Later we have to explain this to client or other branch offices.Daily 4-5 times it restarts on its own. We decided to do factory reset but that didn't help. GSM part was pathetic.As that GSM no is my personal no many of my friends msgd me asking why my phone is not reachable or switched off or I am not responding.
After one more day of GSM "not reachable " status I took out the GSM sim and inserted in my GSM phone.After that I noticed that phone stopped hanging during calls.Later a Cell dealer told me that
This phone can't handle CDMA GSM together.I told about this to my fellow victims and they too experienced the same.Now all of using two phones again.
Other problems I will write in short.battery back up is pathetic. Hardly lasts for 6-7 hours after a full charge. Processor is very slow.Multi tasking is not possible at all.Even playing angry birds will be difficult sometimes.Forget about other high end games.Sound quality is good but I heard better sound quality in some budget music phones.
I am confused about the touch screen.Is it really capacitive? Thats all I can say as I own another android phone which touch seems so smooth compared to this.
All 5 of us including MD sir facing these exact same problems.So MD sir decided to dump this piece of crap at the service centre and He bought a new HTC desire VC..He will be using that for 1 month and later if that phone's performance is satisfactory He will get us the same too.Till now the HTC is working very nice. So I guess after 2 more weeks we will be using HTC desire vc.
One more thing.I tried to post a review about this on samsung website's review section.It got posted but next day it got removed from the page.They mailed me the reason is I violated the guideline.I assure you guys that I didn't use any abusive language or asked readers to buy other phones in that review.All I wrote is the experience I faced with this phone.If criticizing a product is violation of guideline then I can't do anything about it.
