Samsung have been making android smartphone for a long time but they always have been accused of the cheap build quality and use of plastic on their smartphones.
Here is the galaxy a5 which seems to overcome that so lets have a look:
Build & Design - This is the best part of this phone. It is a unibody full metalic construction and feels study and premium in hands and weighs 123gm so very light to hold.
Samsung has not changed thier traditional design of smartphones very much and instead of plastic they have gone with metal.
Display It has 5 inch SUPER AMOLED 720p display with 294ppi. As it is super amoled samsung display the colours are vivid and saturation level is high and blacks are really deep.Samsung provides an option to change the diplay colour temperature which is very nice. This display is very bright and outdoor visibility is not an issue.
Performance - It runs on a 64bit quad core snapdragon 410 chipset with adreno 306 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The snapdragon 410 is a very good mid range chip handles day to day performance very well. Multasking has no problem and plays casual games very smoothly and also heavy games on high graphics with a very little lag.
But the phone does not have any heating issue which is very good.
It comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage and is expandable upto 64GB on the hybrid sim slot.
Cmera - It has a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperature and led flash.This camera is really fast prodeuces very good images having good amount of details and sharpness.
In daylight situation the images look vivid and the white balance & exposer is also accurate.
In low light situations also the camera is good.
The front has a 5MP camera and it has a wide angle lens. The selfies look good but the colour accuracy is a bit off.
Sound - The call quality is very good on earpiece but the speaker on the rear is not good. The loudness is not there and it sounds tiny but audio via headphone is excellent.
Battery - It has a non removable 2300 mah battery and battery life is good.
It can last for a full day with moderate usage.
Overall I feel it is a really nice looking phone with good performance but for the price it is not upto the mark.
