I just went thru its TV ads...I saw the loud speaker thing being highlighted in TV ads and was really pissed off becoz a couple of my frnds were crazy about loud sounds frm chinese cell-phones and I thought this is one more addition to the loud thing line-up.....
But I was wrong I personally gave a visit to a shop to chk out the phone as I was about to buy Nokia E51 or Nokia 6233 but when I heard the sound frm the Samsung Guru E1410(Rs. 3100 April 2009) itself I was hooked....I was like Why m I paying such a high price not that high but (Nokia 6233 - Rs.8500 April 2009) and the sound from the loud speaker is really Crisp with no cracking sound at high volume...
So the package rather cheap packaging contains handset, battery, ear-phones, user-manual and charger.....no data cable or software cd included.....
Phone has a overall gud design...ample amount of thickness fr griping it....Rubberised Keypad and Nickel Coated Music Keys which also function as 5-way D-pad.....and volume keys on the left side while right side houses charger cum ear-phone cum proprietary data port.....and back side it houses two speakers....
Display is a 128x128 CSTN.....not so worthy....but the backlight is bright so it suffices as a torch is low light areas......
Music Player was a let down....no background play..four playlists of 30 tracks each(limitations)...equalizer dont remain constant means it goes to normal preset once u change a track....need to select it again and again fr every song and bundled earphones and strict no no....i converted the later part of the ear phone(remove the ear pieces and attached the wires to a 3.5mm custom jack available in market..-..need sum technical know-how to do it) and attached Creative EP-630 and it works awesome.....FM reception is below average but once its tuned it will sound nice not stereo.......
Loud Speaker though was a thrilling experience....apart frm chinese phone this one really shows its true colours....play any song u like u wont experience a cracking sound fr sure....no bass but controlled treble levels.....also one more thing its mono output loud speaker means two speakers connected to a single channel internally.....not the case fr ear-phones
Internal Memory is only 3.8MB to 4MB... so need to convert mp3 tracks to ringtones(use mp3cutter) or re-encode mp3s to 64kpbs to obtain 2mb music file
Connectivity Strictly GPRS so nuthing to write home about except u can use a opera mini to suffice ur gmail, orkut and facebook requirements at slow speeds..
Games Samsung Default only.....dont waste time to download games no use
Battery....I no where came near to a 10hrs of quoted talk time..only 4 hrs..sorry guys....even with normal use the phone lasted 2 days.....and it fully charges within 2hrs....
I wud say that people who like to listen songs from loud speaker its a messiah fr them at such a low price and also people who are looking fr a change can opt fr this phone.....**mind it its a loud speaker phone................
