Will Recommend the Samsung HD 860 player for all the users who have bought LCD or plasmas out there or for those who are planning to buy.

It has an HDMI outuput is excellent in upscaling standard dvd format to High deifiniton. We all have bought HD tvs or are apllning to buy, but if we just used them with a standard dvd player we are missing out the quality and features of the Tv for which we spent so much in the first place.

Price is the best at 5k u cant get a bettter DVD player in India that has a HDMI output, only philips has one model but in comparision its still expensive and short on specifications. Will recommend this palyer anytime .

Well have has this player for nearly 2 weeks now -

It upscales divx movies, specially movies in avi format, or xvid really looks awesome.

Till now have had no problem plays all divx movies, mp3, photo files and stuff

Also there is a price cut for the player, heard the samsung dealer say its come down to 4.5 k.

At that price its a steal, just like one of ther other reviewers has mentioned if u go to buy a hdmi cable the cheapest one will cost not less than 1.5 k, which u get free with the player so it is really a steak and philips withs its hdmi player are not providing the hdmi cable and philips player is more expensive above 5.5k
